Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the Littleton Bassworks FAQ. We believe in providing transparent, expert service for every player.
What is your standard return window?
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on most items. The 30-day period begins on the date the item is delivered to your shipping address. If you are not satisfied, you may return the item for a full refund (minus shipping costs), subject to the conditions below.
How do I start a return?
All returns must be pre-authorized. To start a return:
- Contact us via email or phone within the 30-day window and request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Once you receive your RMA number, securely pack the item, ensuring it is in its original box with all original packaging materials, accessories, and documentation.
- Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the box. Ship the item back to LBS.
- Please Note: The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and insurance.
Are there any items that cannot be returned?
Yes. The following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned unless demonstrably defective upon arrival:
- Instrument strings, picks, clothing, and cleaning products (if opened).
- Software, sound libraries, and digital downloads.
- Custom orders or instruments modified at the customer's request.
- Layaway or clearance items.
Will I be charged a restocking fee?
We carefully inspect every instrument before it ships. To ensure the process is fair, restocking fees may apply if the item is returned in less-than-perfect condition:
- Items in Original, Unopened Condition: No restocking fee. You receive a full refund of the product price.
- Items Opened, Used, or Missing Packaging: A 15% restocking fee will be applied. This covers inspection, cleaning, re-boxing, and preparing the item for resale.
Items Damaged or Showing Significant Wear: We reserve the right to refuse the return or apply a higher fee (up to 30%) based on the severity of the damage.
Are your instruments inspected before shipping?
Absolutely. This is a key part of the Littleton Bassworks difference. Every instrument, amp, or pedal is subject to a thorough multi-point inspection by our expert technicians and players before it leaves our showroom. We confirm playability, electronics functionality, and cosmetic condition so it arrives ready to play.
Do you sell new or used gear?
We primarily sell new high-end instruments and gear directly from manufacturers. Occasionally, we feature used or vintage inventory. All used items are clearly marked in their description with a detailed condition report and multiple photos.
Who provides technical support after I buy a product?
Our support team is composed of experienced musicians, not just customer service reps. If you have questions about setup, tone, or compatibility, you will speak directly with someone who understands the low end.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) and secure payment processors (e.g., PayPal).
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Our website uses secure SSL encryption and our payment processors comply with all industry standards for data security. We do not store your credit card information.
